Saint Gerard Society

In honor of Saint Gerard Majella, the patron Saint of motherhood, Catholic faithful have come together to form the Saint Gerard Society—a grassroots nonprofit organization that provides tuition assistance to deserving children within the Diocese of Saginaw.

Saint Gerard Society scholarships are available to children of all faiths who want a faith-based education at Catholic schools in the Diocese of Saginaw.

One-hundred percent of every donation goes directly to our scholarship fund. Please join us. Every time a new student joins a Catholic school, our family grows. We need your help to transform a child’s future by providing them with an academically rigorous, Christ-centered education.

You are invited to make an annual, tax deductible contribution to the Saint Gerard Society’s scholarship fund. Anyone making a $500 annual gift will become a contributing member of the Saint Gerard Society.

All gifts, no matter the amount, will be accepted on behalf of the children. These gifts will form the basis of a fund to immediately assist with tuition costs for students. There will be no overhead expenses or administrative expenses associated with your gift; it will go entirely toward making Catholic school education possible for students in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

"I think [Catholic school] would be beneficial to a lot of people because it opens up the world to just so much more positivity."

Chrstina Buko

Nouvel Catholic Central High School Student
"There's nothing greater than forming a child in Christ and for helping a child to learn to be like Jesus both as a child and then as an adult. That's an incredible, wonderful gift."

Dr. Michael Wolohan

Member of the Saint Gerard Society
"Catholic education provides the best way to impart faith to the children. We have that gift of sharing our faith with our students at any given moment in the classroom."
